SSC CHSL 2020: SSC conducts CHSL exam to recruit qualified candidates for the post of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Postal Assistant (PA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Sorting Assistant (SA). Selection Process for  SSC CHSL Recruitment 2019

Written Examination:

The written examination will consist of an objective type – multiple choice questions. Questions will be set in both English and Hindi for Part-II, III and IV.

1. Computer Based Examination (Tier-I):

Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) Examination is an objective type examination which is divided into four sections, General Intelligence, English Language (Basic Knowledge), Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic). Skills) and general awareness. . The total marks for SSC CHSL 2018 Tier-I Examination is 200 and for every wrong answer there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks. Candidates who pass the Tier-I examination will be selected for the Tier-II examination for obtaining qualifying marks.

2. Tier-II (Descriptive Paper):

Tier-II paper will be 100 marks descriptive paper of pen and paper mode will be for one hour during the duration of the paper. The paper will consist of an essay of 200–250 words and a letter / application of about 150–200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-2 will be 33 percent.

3. Tier III (typing test / skill test):

Me. Skills Examination for Data Entry Operator: Only those candidates who pass the Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and preserve at least the minimum qualifying marks, which are at the discretion of the Commission Can be determined, be eligible to take a skill test. The “data entry speed” skill test will be of qualifying nature. Data entry speed of 8000 (eight thousand) per hour on computer. The candidates will be allowed to take this test, qualify the test at the prescribed speed on the computer, so that such skill test can be conducted by the Commission authorized agency or agency at such notified center / venue. Only such candidates who qualify in the skill test at a speed of not less than 8000 significant depressions per hour will be eligible to be recommended for appointment as per their position in the merit list.

Note-I: Only those candidates who get at least minimum qualifying marks in the written examination, as may be decided by the Commission at their discretion, will be called for skill test. The Commission may also, at its discretion, fix merit marks in each component of the written examination.

ii. Typing Test for LDC / JSA and PA / SA: A typing test will be conducted for those candidates who pass the Computer Based Examination (Tier-1) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-2). Such typing tests will be conducted in English or Hindi. The typing test will be of merit in nature. It will be provided on computer, by the Commission or by an agency authorized by the Commission. The speed will be judged on the accuracy of typing on the computer of a given text passage in 10 minutes.

Note-I: 35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 key depressions per hour / 9000 key depressions per hour, respectively.

Note-II: Only those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) and Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) as may be decided by the Commission at their discretion will be called typing. exam. The Commission may at its discretion determine the minimum qualifying marks in each component of the written examination.

Final Allocation:

The final merit of successful candidates will be determined on the basis of total marks obtained by them in Tier I and Tier II examination. Candidates will be allotted to various departments for the post of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, Data Entry Operator, Lower Divisional Clerk and Court Clerk based on their merit and preference of the post.

Tie Cases Solved: Tie cases will be solved one by one by applying them, as applied until the tie is resolved.
