What is migration certificate
It is very important indeed. You cannot take admission in any college without a migration certificate. After the result the school itself offers a migration certificate. If they do not, ask them to do so. All these documents are necessary to get admission in any institute – Marksheet, Migration Certificate, Character Certificate (last 6 months), Passing Certificate, Caste Certificate (if seeking reservation). Also, a migration certificate is required when we change one board from another board or board to university but TC (transfer certificate) is required when we change a board (university/college) to the same board/university Let’s change to another institution. Therefore, the migration certificate is issued by the board and thus admission is required. If you were registered in the board through a school, then your school will provide the same to you otherwise the board itself (in case of open/direct registration to the board).
Why Migration certificate is important in India
When you have passed your 8th grade or 9th board exam and want to study in another school, you should have a migration certificate from the school. This cert. is very important because it confirms that you have actually studied in that school, passed the class and deposited all your dues. If you do not have a migration certificate, you are not from the school you are claiming and the school where you want to take admission, cannot be admitted because you do not have a migration certificate.
The same is the case with the M. Cert with college admission when you passed the exam, the school provided you with an M. Cert which will help you get admission in the college or school you want.
